It’s really hard to believe that May is coming to an end too. Time really flies if somebody has a good time and I have a good time here indeed. 🙂 Not just because I’m doing what I love doing but because of you too. Because it’s much better when you can share your passion with others who would appreciate or just take interest. It really means the world to me so thank you, thank you again. 🙂
The month started with one of the most important fashion event, aka the Met Gala where the theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” so a lot of stars presented herself in metals and sequins. One of the most popular designer was Louis Vuitton who gave everybody a nice short dress with chunky ankle boots. But my favorite were Emma Watson in a recycled Calvin Klein dress and Claire Danes who sparkled the whole red carpet in a Zac Posen gown.
I got a Twitter account! Maybe the timing is not the best as it’s said it’s the weakest link in the chain of Social Media and they should figure it out what they really want, but hey, at least it didn’t hurt. So now on you can follow me there as I post everything on Twitter too.
We visited our Spanish friend at the other side of London and we had a great time with the first really good weather of the year!, good company and lot of yummy food and walk. We just couldn’t ask for more, it was super!
Then I was nominated to the Blogger Recognition Award by sweet Ewonderhub, and thank her for it once again. If you want to check what I wrote you can check it here, or if you want to know more about me you can check this Sunshine Blogger award too. 🙂
Then lets see, I made a lot of paleo kind of cookies which is may be the easiest that I tried so far. I wrote about my relationship (or rather the lack of it) with make up. I drank a lot of tea and went to dinner with our friends, where once again we were amazed by the beauty of London.
I wrote a lot about of Gucci (and Vetements) and how it (they) inspired me day by day which, if you follow me, couldn’t be a surprise really. And finally I’ve started my series about summer collections and already wrote about Mango, Urban Outfitters, TopShop, a post about shoes only, Zara, H&M and Bershka. There’re some really good things here and there which resulted a pretty massive shopping haul mostly at Mango.
In meanwhile we had Cannes Festival where most of the stars wore yellow ans pastel and everybody looked stunning but especially Elle Fanning, Blake Lively and Salma Hayek.
For Rosie’s suggestion I finally wrote a post about interiors which is a big love of mine but somehow I don’t do it too often as my mind is always full with fashion and clothes. I’m not sure whether that’s a good thing (probably not) but anyway, I showed you our apartment and told the story how we furnished it from full emptiness to a simple but cozy home, using a lot of neutrals and a dash of yellow which seems like my favorite color of the moment.
Finally, few days ago we visited the Roof Garden at Kensington High Street which was pretty amazing and I must say time spent well. If you have a lot of time at hand and the weather is fine too, don’t miss it, it really worth it.
What I wore:
Well, in short jeans and even more jeans. Ok alternately with some other denims like a denim skirt and shorts but as the weather is not really cooperative and I just love jeans, I keep wearing them. Just like loafers and slippers, now that I have the most perfect ones. But hey, at least I’m trying on the top section, haha. 🙂
What I bought:
I keep buying everything vintage mostly by eBay, Beyond Retro and Urban Outfitters. My new found love’s just awaken and now it’s on full swing again. May favorites are mom jeans and printed tees but I managed to buy that longer short too which was just a coincidence, but turned out a really good buy.
Then shoes, like this off-white Converse II which were on sale, and Gucci like loafers both in black and red (the latter also on sale) and the perfect backless loafers by TopShop. I wanted to be ready to the never arriving summer and bought a lot of goodies in Mango, like a pair of off-white pants with extra frayed hems, the best summer top and khaki lightweight pants. Also I couldn’t leave that white Princess jumper at Urban Outfitters because they’re so soft and white and well, also because it was 50% off.
Looking back I must say I bought a lot of things but all worth it because most of them were either vintage garments or on sale. The best ways to shop if you ask me. 🙂
That’s it. In the beginning I was a bit afraid because thinking nothing really happened this month but turned out that a lot of things happened and I loved every minute of it. Now let’s rock that official first month of summer aka June!
Hope you enjoyed this post and don’t be afraid to ask if something’s in your mind. I’m gladly welcoming any kind of post ideas well, in topics like fashion and interior. 🙂
