Having checked the brands online offerings (TopShop here, UO here and Mango here) I got myself to check those things in person as well. This is my favorite way to shop because I can go with a shopping list in my mind. Of course there are things which I didn’t see online but screamed for a closer look, and also things which I couldn’t find at all but if something doesn’t get my attention on the first place then I won’t bother to look for it.
But lets see everything in order.
My favorite section in TopShop is the ones with the shoes right know. Actually the whole basement with all the vintage and vintage like clothes. I really liked that floral dress too, but I couldn’t find it (and in this case I tried, believe me :)). Anyways, the shoes were the important and interesting things to look for me this time. 😉
These yellow ballerina pumps seemed fine, if you’re into ballet pumps and yellows these are worth the try. They’re quite pricey though as they’re some premium edition or so.
I tried the tan slides as well and liked them a lot. But after these dull, rainy days and buying the red loafers and somethings else too, I just couldn’t justify more shoes. Well, yeah, I’m over my limit in every sense. Maybe when warmer days come…
And those backless loafers. OMG, these are perfect and were no question at all. Just f*cking love them. They’re stylish (yet again a bit Gucci like) and comfy too. And as I said before, they’re available in a leopard print as well. But I just love these black suede ones much more.
Mules with bow detail. They were not bad, but I didn’t like them too much on my foot and by then I had made up my mind anyway. 🙂
First things first. When I go to UO it’s a must to check all the vintage section. This time as you can see I tried some more denim skirts and denim shorts too but they were too big or small so you won’t see those on me this time.
But you can see this red summer dress which I liked, but not so much that I’d pay 48 quid or so. After all, this is a summer dress and I know I won’t/couldn’t wear it all the time. But if you did then probably would worth it.
Trench coats are still in my head but I just can’t find that one piece which I adore so much to pay the (usually high) price. I don’t know, I juts feel myself like a big brown potato sack in them. And I don’t like them closed either.
This jumper on the other hand was an instant love and something 50% off. I adore the white color, the extra soft material, the extra long sleeves and the Princess label with black strong characters on it. I also enjoy the irony which comes from it so this was the second item which came home with me.
On this shopping tour Mango was my favorite if we don’t count the shoes. There are a lot of nice things there and they seem having better quality than Zara’s stuff while the price range is similar. I found the most thing here and I’m so happy with all of them.
First of all this white blouse/tee with flare sleeves and open back. This is the best top I’ve found so far. It’s summery but not too revealing, I can wear a bra under it (which is important to me) and I can put a jacket or something on it. The material is soft and the sleeves are extra nice. Girly, but still not too girly, if you know what I mean.
And these white pants with extra frayed hems. Once again I adore everything in them, from the length and frayed hems, through the material and color till the fit and cut. And they weren’t so expensive (around £30-35 I think) either. Perfect summer pants.
As you can see I love this top so much I tried everything else with it. Hehe. Maybe you can remember from my previous post, that I wanted to buy a pair of khaki light pants for the summer too. And I tried these mostly because they were also on sale and well, because they were khaki and light. But by then (see below) something else was in my mind so I didn’t buy them eventually.
But these pants which were exactly what I wanted. Right material and fit, long, tapered legs, big pockets and no zipper or buttons. I had a similar when I was younger (around 10 years ago? My God, I’m old) so I’m happy I found these.
And finally a yellow dress which has a better price (and worse material) than the OU’s one but I didn’t like it on me and also didn’t, khmm couldn’t spend more so this one stayed in the store too. 🙂
Now I think I have everything what I wanted so I’ll be fine for a while. Hope so, but I don’t promise anything (just look at those red loafers which I’m still waiting for). 😉
Some closing thoughts
I don’t know about you but I couldn’t buy or even try anything in Zara lately (I could buy that mini tote weeks ago only because I went there, paid and left in maybe 10 minutes). Not just because the quality issues which is the main reason I don’t but anything online anymore, but because the whole store is a full mess and chaos. I guess there’s too much hype around it and just can’t go there without having a mini stroke at least. But maybe it’s just me. And maybe it’s better for everybody. Less stuff for me more for you. 🙂
Oh, and I was in H&M too but that jute tote which I liked the most from my online checking, still wasn’t available there and I didn’t find any worthy things either, so I didn’t take pictures this time. Maybe next time.
Anyway, I’m really happy with everything I found and I even more happier that I couldn’t find more. But if you want to buy some things too, I’d definitely recommend TopShop and Office Shoes for shoes and Mango and Urban Outfitters for new and vintage clothes.
Hope, you enjoyed this shopping haul, I definitely did.
