Having written about Mango and Urban Outfitters summer collections, I decided my next one will be TopShop. Not because I liked it so much, lately I couldn’t find clothes what I’d be head over heels about as there is nothing here which we couldn’t see before, but because I really adore their shoe collection, as you could read about it here for example.
After some browsing I was able to pick up some of their pieces which I liked more than the others but to be totally frank I don’t feel I’d pay for them a pretty penny (except for one or two and the shoes! of course :)). Well, the situation may seem worse than it actually is because it’s still worth to check it out. And because of the shoes, the shoes! So lets see.
Quilted bomber jacket: Ok, this is not the most summery item but it’s still nice and trendy. Also it could be needed whenever in British summer. And a red ribbed jumper because I like its color, the cropped length and the long sleeves.
Black camisole which is quite a must this (and basically all) summer and this one looks pretty on the photo and not 100% polyester which is a rarity these days. And funny but I only pick up this white t-shirt because it’s a classic and versatile must have piece which can be worn alone or as an under layer for camis and dresses.
My absolute favorite item (again, except for the shoes :)) from this selection is this dress. I like the floral print and the frilly uneven hem which can be worn dressed down or up which is always a plus. And black off the shoulder playsuit which is, once again a nice piece, I’m just not sure of the total black color. But at least it won’t be dirty after a minute of wear and it’s not see trough either. It also can be made more summery with the right accessories.
Denim items. This time a pair of mom jeans with floral embroidery which is a really nice touch, although I’m not sure what kind of wash cycle would they need (probably occasionally gentle ones). And a less delicate denim skirt with A lined shape and buttons.
Finally a bag and the first pair of shoes. This bag actually has a big potential but I’m still not totally fond of it and not sure why. Maybe because this time of the year I prefer light colored linen or straw bags and this is neither of those.
Well, doesn’t really matter, lets see what I was talking about the beginning. The shoes! Actually this whole post is totally justified because of these backless loafers which now I’m totally fond of. Everything about them. Moreover, they’re also available with furry leopard print which are not bad either, but I like these black suede ones much more.
And more shoes this time with open toes. I was hesitating about picking them out for this post because it’s more shoes than I usually pick out, but firstly I really like both of them and secondly I can prove the point above about dressing things up and down.
And now the outfits:
outfit 1 (I just love this)
outfit 2
outfit 3
outfit 4
outfit 5
outfit 6
outfit 7
outfit 8
outfit 9
outfit 10
See? The most easiest and simplest outfit can be dressed up or down with the right accessories, this time with these perfect shoes. Question is which one(s) should I buy? And maybe that dress? I really like that dress too. Decisions, decisions…
Have a fantastic weekend!
