Lately my head is full with shoes for the summer, mostly with slides and slippers. I think I’ve just started accepting that heels are not for me. I’m way too practical for them so I haven’t bought a simple pair for a long while. And I still have an eye on flat versions.
But luckily there are other options as well. A lot. Designers and customers are realizing now that a woman could be woman in flats or middle blocked heels as well. Moreover, they can be comfortable too. Plus there are a lot of good quality and stylish shoes you can choose from. Not like with bags, I’m still struggling on that area so I keep buying shoes instead. 🙂
So because summer and because I said summer is not real without your feet (or at least a part of them) out, I pick a small selection for you and for me too.
When it comes to shoes my absolute favorites are Vagabond, TopShop and Office Shoes. I think they have the best and biggest quality/trendy/stylish/affordable selection. But you still can have luck with Urban Outfitters, Mango, GAP, H&M and Zara too.
My ultimate favorites along with loafers. They’re not too girly but comfy and practical. And super trendy right now. I hope this will remain because this is the very first non boots trend which I truly adore. I like round and pointy toes as well and I don’t really have to decide because both are stylish. I think round nose is more comfy but pointy toe can elongate my leg which is not bad either.
Ballerina and granny chic shoes
The other closed toe section. I used to love simple classic ballerinas but I used them to death and since there are loafers on the fashion table I go with those because I like them to be edgier and more comfy. However, I still love my TopShop ballerinas/glove shoes because they are bit on the fugly side. If I had to chose from here I’d go with the silver slingbacks or the pointy Mango shoes in red (so bad my feet slip out of them, but a smaller size would be too small :'().
The ultimate summer shoes and my second favorites in the line at the moment. I have the exact same Birckenstocks and I still love them. Well, they’re not the best to go out or work but for a lazy hot day they’re still the best. I also like the cognac TopShop and GAP and Vagabond versions but I’m still not sure whether I should go with a foot-bed version or not. Hmm… However, the GAP ones are on sale. Psss…
Well, as I said mules are not for me and they’re still the least favorite in this list. But they kinda grew on me and I quite like these simple versions, especially the full black TopShop ones. But in the end I think I’ll go with one of the above slides instead.
Which is your favorite?
