When it comes to pick out a pair of shoes in the morning, there’s a big chance I’d go for some flats or sneakers. Mostly because they’re comfy and stylish at the same time. However when we wanna go out I prefer (mid) high heels. Well, I’d prefer them if we had a car. But living in London our least problem is to buy a car. It’s way to expensive and it’s not even faster than the Tube. So what’s the point? Ok, it’s convenient but there’re still too much downsides. 🙁
Yesterday we went out to have a dinner and drink and it took me hours to decide what to wear. Usually I get ready pretty fast but I wanted to wear one of my jeans which are always better if you dress them up a bit. Especially for a going out. I changed several times and eventually decided on some flats. I mean I had to walk into the Tube, escalators down and up, change lines, then walk to the place which I wasn’t even sure where was it exactly. Also we had some well needed walk after dinner then again we commuted back home.
With all that being said I think is quite obvious I went for flats. And it seems I’m not the only one cos I lot a lot of working woman wearing costume paired with sneakers. Oh, and yesterday I saw a girl wearing THE Gucci Princetown slippers. A beautiful red jacquard pair with silver-green bee prints. They were amazing and would opt for them over heels without hesitation. Any time. Really.
But back to heels, because that’s the topic here believe it or not. 🙂 Few years ago I couldn’t stand the temptation to buy barely there black suede sandals with high block heels by Vagabond. They look nice, give the leg lengthening effect quite nicely and they’re perfect addition to dress up anything. But they’re not too comfortable to walk. Not a longer distance. But as I said (and probably you noticed) there are no short distances in London if you don’t live in Zone 1-2, save for going to the local market. But why on Earth would I wear heels for shopping food? Maybe I should…why not?
So yeah, I’m still waiting for the perfect occasion to use them again. But until then here you have some inspirational pictures about celebs and bloggers who can wear them.
See? They’re perfect with everything. Just get some nice pedicure and you’re ready to go.
Anyways, have a fabulous weekend! 🙂
