So it seems sporty chic style has a big moment everywhere as I’ve never seen so many puffa jackets like this season. I don’t mind it though as I like mixing different elements like feminine with masculine, sporty with more elegant and I’m evolving color wise too. Someone says that’s the Vetement effect and who could argue with that idea?
Back to McCartney’s collection I have to say I love it and it’s mainly because of that above mentioned balancing skill what is so strong here. But it’s just not that. For some designers is difficult task to make wearable, practical and the same time covetable, inspiring pieces. However, this is definitely not the case here. Stella McCartney knows how to make a collection like that.
Oversized puffa jackets with shiny long pleated skirts and pointy shoes, oversized mixed with slip dresses, denim and velvet mixed with nylon and knit and oh so rich rusty colors mixed with denim blue, black and white. Also I’m really into those long earrings which hit just one ear at the time. I know, this is a trend for a while but it seems I’m not over it yet. 🙂
Do you like this collection as much as I do?
