As you probably noticed I have a thing for jeans. It’s not new though, I have it quite a while. I guess it’s because their ultimate versatility. I have these phases: sometimes I’m into skinnies, sometimes into boyfriend jeans and recently into straight jeans. I think it started with this ‘everything, but mostly every cropped jeans with higher waist from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s’ are trendy right now.
But I wouldn’t have got on the bandwagon just because of this. If this was the case I would buy every kind of jeans with cropped flare, wider leg (with or without frayed hem, rips, fades and so on) too. But no, I have a specific picture in my mind. My ideal jeans should have straight, non frayed hem, no rips, high waist, mid or light blue hue and high (at least 98%) cotton component. And besides these things, the fit and length must be perfect (ok almost perfect) and they should have reasonable price too.
And guess what? These TopShop jeans have all these and one extra, namely a button fly. Don’t ask why, I just love flies with buttons. Ok, the waist could be a bit smaller but I got use to that long time ago. And this is the only itsy bitsy problem with them which I can fix with a belt (which I adore anyway).
As the sun was shining yesterday I wanted to wear something white but it was still cold (I won’t start whining I promise) so I put one of my warmest jumpers on. It’s wool and a bit oversized as it’s size M. It was a great deal because I bought it on sale in Zara few years back. And I couldn’t stand to wear my glitter socks again, this time paired them with my Adidas Superstars. I love them this way too. Especially because these jeans have the right length so my socks can been seen but my skin is not yet out. Perfect combo if you ask me.
Do you like my jeans? And my outfit?
