I cannot bare with myself. If you’re familiar with the new Gucci phenomenon you know what I’m talking about (if you’re not check back later, I’m gonna do a post about it). I said a few times before and I’ll few times after this. Granny/geek chic is not my style. But this doesn’t mean I cannot get inspiration from it. Some colours, some pieces as for example the now iconic Gucci horsebit loafers. It seems now every editors/bloggers and ‘Iknowitallaboutfashion’ have it. And no, I’m not envy. Or am I? Yes, maybe I am. I’m not gonna tell you I don’t want them because hell yes I’d like to have them. I just cannot justify this amount of money on a pair of shoes.
Hopefully there are always some nice alternatives in TopShop, H&M, Office Shoes and Vagabond. One or two weeks ago I found the perfect pairs on Vagabond’s website. I used to be a big fan of Vagabond. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a Swedish company making minimalist, nice quality shoes with affordable prices. Unfortunately they don’t have a store here in London but some of their shoes are available here and there (e.g Office Shoes).
I saw these shoes and I really liked them. They have the perfect not to manly not to womanly cut without any bells and whistles. Just my cup of tea. But I was hesitating as I don’t like to buy shoes online especially if they don’t have free shipping and return options. However, I know their shoes very well, I know what size I need so I pulled the trigger. But then something happened. My order couldn’t make it through. I thought that’s destiny (as I tend to believe in these stuff – don’t judge me, everybody needs some bugs :)). I left the order, I didn’t even know that they actually had my money.
On Monday I got an e-mail from them that they had some technical problems and they couldn’t complete my order so I should place it again and for compensation I’ll have 20% discount and free shipping. After this point I don’t have to tell you that I placed the order again. Destiny, ha?
I just got the email that my order is on its way! Yeyy! 🙂
