As I said in my previous posts details were important. They can add that little plus which can change a whole outfit. They can add a little twist, elevate an outfit to the next style level or make an optional cheat drawing attention to… khmm.. more advantageous body parts. The coolest thing that if you want something new but you’re on a low budget they (probably) won’t break the bank.
One of my all the time favorite accessories are belts. I have a few of them which I’ve collected trough past years. They are similar in style as I prefer black (or neutral) leather ones with minimalist and narrow cut. They are true classics which I can wear over and over again.
I bought this belt few years ago in H&M on a quite good price. This was my favorite because it’s perfect with low waist skinny jeans, leather or classic pants. I must say I’m not too tall (at all) and I don’t have long lean Bambi legs so I have to be careful with wider belts with low waisted trousers especially if the belt has a different color. That’s why I prefer narrow belts. This black, narrow leather belt from H&M is practical and adds a little plus to most minimalist outfits too.
If I wanted to add more spice to my outfit, I usually use the leopard printed one from Bershka. Leopard print is almost a neutral but it has the perfect twist option. I use my brown and tan colored belt usually when I don’t want to wear black or I wanted to create a more relaxed outfit, in summer for example.
My newest additions are however, a bit different. As high waisted jeans brooke into the fashion world (again) my preferences have changed a bit. My newest belts are black leather ones (same old, same old) with shorter length and with more interesting buckle. With the shorter length I can use these belts with my high waisted jeans to accentuate my waist drawing attention to my narrowest part and optically elongating my legs. Win-win, right?
