Spring is coming. It’s already here in fashion land which is always faster than the real world. If you’re interested in fashion probably you saw the newest shoe trend: the Granny chic shoes/ballerina pumps, you can call them whatever you want. I was on the bandwagon for a while. I’ve collected the inspiration pictures on Pinterest, I read the articles. I mean they seem quite practical and comfortable. They have round toe and short, blocked heels. So what’s not to love?
When a few weeks ago I saw they are available in Mango I couldn’t stop buying them. I have a lot of experience what I love, what I wear usually, what are those rules which I always follow. For example I don’t buy shoes with high heel. EVER. I’d love to because I like them but I cannot and don’t want to walk in them. These shoes however, perfectly fit the bill so I convinced myself they worth to buy.
Then I put them in one of my shoe boxes as I don’t really have space for them on the shoe rack (it’s winter in real world after all). But I kept trying them with my beloved blue straight and trusty black skinny jeans. Eventually I had to realize that they are not for me so after few weeks I brought them back. Why? Because they are not for me. There is something about them what doesn’t suit me. I said earlier that I love the newest Gucci collections. They are bold, eccentric, colorful. They’re inspiring me some way. But they are not for me. So it’s better for everyone. It’s better for the person who wants to buy them (and hopefully will suit her) and it’s better for me because I could buy something else which is more suitable for me. I’ve been growing up eventually? Nonetheless, I’m quite proud of myself. 🙂
Oh, if you are still into these shoes there are some good options for you in TopShop, H&M, Mango, Urban Outfitters and Zara too. The pictures are from their website.
